Chiefs vs. Bills Week 2 Odds
BUFFALO, NY (The Spread) – Two teams that struggled mightily in Week 1 will square off in Buffalo on Sunday when the Bills host the Chiefs at 1:00PM ET.
KANSAS CITY: Despite a solid performance by Matt Cassel, who completed 21-of-33 passes for 258 yards and one touchdown, the Chiefs were trounced 40-24 by the Falcons in Week 1. Jamaal Charles gained 87 yards on 16 carries and Dexter McCluster caught six passes for 82 yards. But Kansas City’s depleted defense could do nothing to keep Matt Ryan in check, as the Atlanta quarterback threw for 299 yards with three touchdowns and one rushing touchdown. The Chiefs will get pass rusher Tamba Hali back this week after he served a one-game suspension last Sunday.
BUFFALO: The Bills put together a pathetic effort in New York last week as the Jets crushed Buffalo 48-28 as a 3-point favorite. Ryan Fitzpatrick threw for 195 yards and three touchdowns but he also tossed three interceptions (one was returned for a touchdown by Antonio Cromartie). Buffalo’s new-look defense did nothing to contain Mark Sanchez, who threw three touchdown passes and racked up a 9.9 YPA. If the Bills are to bounce back they’ll have to do it without running back Fred Jackson, who was injured in last week’s loss.
ODDS: The Chiefs opened as 7-point road underdogs but 69% of the betting public is currently backing Buffalo, so the line has dropped down to Kansas City +3.5. The total for this game is 44.5.
TRENDS: The under is 8-2 in the last 10 meetings between these two teams while the Chiefs are 0-5 against the spread in their last five games against the Bills and the road squad is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings.Want More From TheSpread.com?
