Ravens vs. Jets Updated Odds
The first of two Monday Night Football games tonight should be a great defensive battle as the New York Jets host the Baltimore Ravens at 7:00PM ET. Let’s take a look at the matchup.
Game Preview:
The Ravens come into this game with high expectations about the 2010 season. Some media publications are predicting them to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl, although questions still remain about their defense – mainly the secondary. But with Joe Flacco entering his third year and Ray Rice approaching superstardom, the Ravens could be ready to soar. They’ve also now given Flacco a true No. 1 wideout in Anquan Boldin, so the offense could be fun to watch this season.
The Jets are no strangers to high expectations. After coming within a win of reaching the Super Bowl last season, Rex Ryan’s squad is on a mission this year. Their question marks surround quarterback Mark Sanchez and whether or not he can take this team to the next level. But with a great ground game and an outstanding defense, Sanchez may be able to play the part of game manager again and lead the Jets deep into the playoffs.
Line Movement & Updated Odds:
The Jets opened as a 3-point favorite on April 24 and then dropped to a 2.5- point faovirte on August 28. The line fell to –1.5 on September 3 and now oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com currently list New York at –1. The over/under total opened at 38.5 and is now 36.
