Game Preview:
The Browns enter the 2010 season after undergoing a facelift this offseason. Mike Holmgren was hired to run the football operations and one of his first decisions was to sign quarterback Jake Delhomme. Of course, this team will largely stay on the ground with running back Jerome Harrison and use its solid offensive line and improving defense to try and eek out wins.
The Bucs continued their rebuilding project over the offseason while once again focusing on the draft. The team added massive defensive tackle Gerald McCoy in the first round and now have a nice young core on that side of the ball. Offensively, however, Tampa’s passing game remains a huge question mark, as does second-year quarterback Josh Freeman. At least he’ll have a couple of nice receiving targets in wideout Mike Williams and tight end Kellen Winslow.
Line Movement & Updated Odds:
This game hasn’t moved much on the line. It opened at Bucs –2 and got down to –1.5 in late June. But the spread moved to –2 in early July and now oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have Tampa at –2.5. The over/under total for this game opened at 36.5 and is now 37.
