Ravens vs. Broncos Prediction
DENVER, CO (ATS Consultants) – The NFL kicks off its 2013 regular season with a rematch of the AFC Divisional Round last season when the Broncos host the Ravens at 8:30PM ET. Will it be a high-scoring opener?
NFL LINEMOVEMENT: Denver opened as a 9-point favorite but the spread has dropped significantly over the past couple of days. It now sits at 7.5 at most online and Vegas sports books, although some places are offering Baltimore at +8. As for the total, it opened at 49.5 and has been bet down slightly to 48 or 47.5, depending on what sports book you view.
NFL PUBLIC BETTING: Of the bets that have been placed on this game, 54% currently favor Baltimore. This information is subject to change, however, so make sure to click on the link for the latest public betting figures.
NFL FREE PICK: Take the over. According to latest NFL trends, the over is 7-1 in the Ravens’ last eight games played in September and 3-0-1 in the Broncos’ last four games versus AFC opponents. It’s also 4-1 in Denver’s last five games in Week 1, 20-7-1 in its last 28 home games and 38-17-1 in its last 56 games overall. The Broncos added Wes Welker to an already dynamic offense that features Peyton Manning, Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker. And with Von Miller (suspension) and Champ Bailey (injury) both out for Denver’s defense, look for Baltimore to move the ball throughout the course of the night despite losing Anquan Boldin (trade/49ers) and Dennis Pitta (IR) in the offseason.
