Giants at Pats Preview

Two teams that met in the Super Bowl two years ago will meet at Foxboro on Thursday night at 7:30PM when the New England Patriots host the New York Giants.

Last week, the Jets edged out their in-state rivals 27-25 as the Giants failed to cover the 3.5-point spread. With the over/under sitting at only 36.5, the total sailed over as both teams racked up 52 points.

The Patriots edged out the Redskins 27-24 last week, although New England failed to cover the 4.5-point spread. Randy Moss had two touchdowns, although Tom Brady excited the game after hurting his shoulder. Just like the Jets-Giants game, the over 38 easily covered in the Pats-Skins matchup.

Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com have made the Giants 3-point road favorites over the Patriots on Thursday night. The over/under total has been set at 36 for this matchup.

Even though Brady’s injury isn’t considered serious, it’s doubtful that Bill Belichick will risk further hurting his star quarterback, especially considering that Brady was sidelined for the entire 2008 season after hurting his knee. Don’t expect Brady to play much, if at all on Thursday night against the Giants.
