Packers Take Beating in Cincy Falling 48-17

By all accounts the Packers are in big trouble. Brett Favre appears to of picked up right where he left off last season. Favre fumbled the opening drive which lead to a touchdown, was intercepted on the next series and was sacked 3 times when it was all said and done.

In Carson Palmer's first game back since his knee injury he was 9-14 for 140 yards and three touchdowns. Unless his knee has an unexpected setback, Palmer will start in Kansas City on Sept. 10.

Palmer's return was the cornerstone of a buoyant night for the Bengals, who are 3-0 in preseason for the first time since 1976 and have clinched their first winning preseason since 1988.

This was also the first game back for Green Bay running back Ahman Green. Green played in his first game since he tore a tendon in his thigh midway through last season. Green carried eight times for only 18 yards in the first half, unable to find much room behind a line featuring two rookie guards. His longest run was 8 yards.

Green Bay's final preseason game is against Tennessee Sept. 1 and Cincinatti closes out their schedule against the Colts also on Sept. 1
