Raiders at 49ers Odds

The Oakland Raiders are looking to forget about off the field distractions Saturday night when they face the San Francisco 49ers in preseason action.

Oakland head coach Tom Cable was accused of punching defensive assistant Randy Hanson this week. Hanson suffered facial injuries during a coaches meeting two weeks ago where the rumored assault took place. On the field, the Raiders are coming off a 31-10 win over Dallas last weekend where Charlie Frye threw for 80 yards and a touchdown while JaMarcus Russell threw for 50 yards. Second-year running back, Darren McFadden had a solid game, rushing for 63 yards on four carries.

Despite a 17-16 win over Denver last week, the 49ers haven’t had much positive news in camp. First round draft pick Michael Crabtree is still a holdout and fellow receiver Brandon Jones will be out for another seven weeks because of a broken bone in his shoulder. Patrick Willis just recently returned back to practice this week for San Francisco, but may not play Saturday. Quarterback Shaun Hill was a perfect 2-for-2 passing last week for the 49ers, but Damon Huard had the better night, throwing for 98 yards and a touchdown.

Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made the 49ers 3-point favorites in this contest. The over/under total has been set at 36.

Oakland is 0-4 against the spread at San Francisco and is 1-10 ATS in road games against the NFC West since 1993.

San Francisco is 8-2 with the under versus Oakland and is 1-1 ATS versus Oakland over the last three seasons.

Game time is set for 8:15PM ET from Candlestick Park with clear skies in the forecast for kickoff.
