Giants at Bears Odds

Fans of the Chicago Bears will get their first live look at quarterback Jay Cutler Saturday night when the Bears host the New York Giants at Soldier Field.

Cutler had a debut with the Bears last week that he would rather forget, going 5-for-10 passing for 64 yards with one interception in a 27-20 loss at Buffalo. Devin Hester caught two passes for 22 yards in the loss and was the intended receiver on the interception from Cutler. Matt Forte sat out the preseason opener with a hamstring injury, but the running back returned to practice this week.

The Giants are coming off a 24-17 win over Carolina last Monday where Eli Manning saw limited action. New York is looking for new receivers to emerge with the loss of Plaxico Burress and Amani Toomer from the roster. The Giants had running backs Ahmad Bradshaw and Danny Ware stand out on Monday as Bradshaw had a 19-yard touchdown run while Ware caught a 36-yard touchdown pass from David Carr.

Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made the Bears 1-point favorites in this contest. The over/under total has been set at 36.

The Giants are 8-20 against the spread on Saturday’s while the Bears are 4-0 with the over on Saturday games.

Game time is set for 8PM ET from Soldier Field with clear skies in the forecast for kickoff.
