Broncos vs. 49ers Free Pick
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (The Spread) - A pair of non-conference playoff contenders will square off today when the 49ers host the Broncos in preseason action.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the 49ers are 4.5-point favorites over the Broncos, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 41.5 points.
Kaepernick only attempted one pass in the 49ers' 23-3 loss to the Ravens in the team's first preseason game. Rookie running back Carlos Hyde also rushed five times for 39 yards and fellow first-year player Bruce Ellington caught three passes for 35 yards to lead the Niners in receiving.
The Broncos defeated the Seahawks 21-16 in their exhibition opener, as Peyton Manning completed 10-of-13 passes for 78 yards without a touchdown or an interception. Demaryius Thomas caught a team-high five passes for 52 yards while Jordan Norwood caught a 34-yard touchdown pass from backup quarterback Brock Osweiler.
NFL Preseason Free Pick: Take the over. The offenses are starting to catch up to the defenses finally and we're starting to see some higher scoring in preseason. If Manning and Kaepernick play at least a quarter, this game shouldn't have much trouble getting into the 40s today.
