Since coming up just short at Super Bowl XLIII, the Cardinals have seen changes with both the offensive and defensive coordinators, but the talent remains the same. Kurt Warner has a new two-year contract and will lead a potent Arizona offense led by receivers Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin. Arizona drafted running back Chris Wells with the 31st pick in the draft, but an ankle injury has limited his participation in training camp and leaves him questionable for Thursday’s game. Matt Leinart is in a battle with new addition, Brian St. Pierre for the backup quarterback spot and Thursday’s game will be the start of determining the No. 2 man behind Warner.

The Steelers didn’t make many moves this offseason, but did secure James Harrison, Hines Ward, and Heath Miller to long-term contracts to sustain the talent on their roster. Larry Foote was among some of the roster cuts Pittsburgh opted for in the offseason and off the field civil issues with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger have left a cloud over the defending champions heading into the 2009-10 season.

Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made the Steelers 3-point favorites heading into Thursday’s game. The over/under total has also been set at 33.

The Cardinals are 5-1 with the over if the line is +3 to -3.

Pittsburgh is 2-5 against the spread as the favorite.

Game time is set for 7:30PM ET from Heinz Field with clear skies in the forecast for kickoff. Both teams are expected to play all of their starters in the beginning, but the duration of their play is not likely to be anything past one quarter.
