Brady, NFL working on settlement?
LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) – Could Tom Brady and the NFL reach a settlement on his appeal of his four-game suspension for “Deflategate?”
ProFootballTalk.com reports that attorney Gregg Levy has been warning NFL commissioner Roger Goodell that the league’s four-game suspension for Brady will be difficult to make “stick in court.” Thus, the NFL and Brady’s team have conducted settlement discussions, although to date “no progress has been made toward a deal.”
At most Las Vegas sports books, the Patriots remain 3-point favorites for their Week 1 home game against the Steelers on September 10. New England opened as 6.5-point favorites before that number dropped following the announcement that Brady would be suspended four games. That number could obviously climb back up to around 6 points if Brady’s suspension would be lifted.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book GT Bets, the Patriots are currently 10/1 to win the 2016 Super Bowl.
