Brady ruling expected this week?
FOXBORO, MA (The Spread) – Could the ruling of Tom Brady’s “Deflategate” appeal be coming this week?
A “source with knowledge of the situation” tells ProFootballTalk.com that the Brady camp “expects a ruling this week.” The source also tells PFT that the anticipated outcome is a “sham, with litigation to promptly follow.” Thus, it doesn’t appear as though Brady is going to be pleased with the outcome of the ruling.
PFT also notes that Brady and the NFLPA could seek a preliminary injunction aimed at allowing Brady to keep playing during the litigation process. That would then make Brady available for the Thursday night opener against the Steelers. If loses in court, then Brady would still have to serve a suspension.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book GT Bets, the Patriots still have 10/1 odds to win the 2016 Super Bowl. If Brady’s suspension is wiped out, those odds will surely improve.
