Chargers’ 2015 NFL Season Odds
SAN DIEGO, CA (The Spread) – The Chargers haven’t lost more than nine games in each of the last two years but will they regress at all in 2015?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Chargers’ win total for the 2015 regular season has been set at over/under 8, while their 2016 Super Bowl odds are 50/1. They’re also 22/1 to win the AFC Conference Championship and 5/1 to win the AFC West Division.
This offseason the Chargers added guard Orlando Franklin, cornerback Patrick Robinson and offensive tackle Joe Barksdale. They also re-signed cornerback Brandon Flowers and drafted running back Melvin Gordon of Wisconsin with their first-round pick.
While Gordon will have plenty to prove as a rookie, on paper he was an excellent add to an offense led by quarterback Philip Rivers. If second-round pick Denzel Perryman can help the defense, then the Chargers should be right around the 8-win mark in 2015. They do play in a challenging division, but Rivers usually has the team in contention.
