Dallas returns quarterback Dak Prescott, running back Ezekiel Elliott, receiver Dez Bryant, tight end Jason Witten, and one of the best offensive lines in football. Questions remain about their defense, however. Did they have enough pass rushers? Will the draft additions of Taco Charlton, Chidobe Awuzie and Jourdan Lewis make an impact this year? If Prescott suffers a sophomore slump, the Cowboys could take a significant step back this season if their defense doesn’t outperform expectations.
As for the Giants, their defense returns Jason Pierre-Paul, Olivier Vernon, Eli Applie, Landon Collins and Janoris Jenkins, so they’ll compete again in 2017. The question is whether or not Eli Manning can have a bounce back season. He’s surrounded by outstanding talent in Odell Beckham Jr. and newcomer Brandon Marshall, plus drafted tight end Evan Engram to provide more scoring depth. But if Manning doesn’t bounce back, the Giants’ ceiling might be limited.

The Eagles might still be a year away from a playoff berth but it also wouldn’t be shocking to see them make a run this year. Carson Wentz showed plenty of promise as a rookie last season and was given new weapons Alshon Jeffery and Torrey Smith this offseason. The defense has sleeper qualities as well, thanks to Fletcher Cox, Brandon Graham and Jordan Hicks.
Finally, the Redskins added Jonathan Allen to go along with Ryan Kerrigan and Josh Norman on defense. Kirk Cousins returns for another year offensively and the team added Terrelle Pryor and Samaje Perine this offseason.
