Chiefs’ 2015 Season Betting Odds
KANSAS CITY, MO (The Spread) – After posting two straight winning seasons, can the Chiefs make it three consecutive years with nine-plus wins?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the over/under for the number of regular season wins for the Chiefs in 2015 has been set at 8.5. Their Super Bowl odds are also 33/1 while their AFC Conference championship odds to win are 16/1.
Kansas City continues to be overshadowed by Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos in the AFC West but the Chiefs upgraded their roster in the offseason and should post another winning record. The addition of Jeremy Maclin gives quarterback Alex Smith a legit deep threat and the team is having Smith focus on throwing the ball more vertically in OTAs. The Chiefs also signed guards Ben Grubbs and Paul Fanaika, as well as safety Tyvon Branch.
While Smith isn’t considered an elite signal-caller, he’s shown the ability to be efficient in Andy Reid’s offense. And thanks to the talents of Maclin, Jamaal Charles, Justin Houston, Tamba Hali, Derrick Johnson and Sean Smith, the Chiefs should once again challenge for a playoff spot.
