Cardinals 2015 Win Total Odds
GLENDALE, AZ (The Spread) – After producing back-to-back double digit winning seasons under coach Bruce Arians, how many victories will the Cardinals rack up in 2015?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Cardinals’ season win total has been set at 8.5, which may seem low considering the team won 10 and 11 games, respectively, under Arians the last two seasons. Oddsmakers are clearly projecting a bit of a dip for Arizona in 2015.
This offseason the Cardinals re-signed receiver Larry Fitzgerald and added veterans Corey Peters and Corey Redding to the defensive line, as well as Darryl Sharpton, LaMarr Woodley and Sean Weatherspoon to their linebacker corps. Their biggest addition, however, came in guard Mike Iupati, who signed a big free agent deal to come over from NFC West rival San Francisco.
The Cardinals didn’t stop trying to improve their O-line in free agency. They also selected Florida offensive tackle D.J. Humphries in the first round of April’s draft and added to their front seven with the choice of Missouri pass rusher Markus Golden.
So will the Cardinals win over 8.5 games this season? That could depend on the health of Carson Palmer, who tore his ACL last season for the second time in his career. If he were to suffer another setback or have his production fall off a cliff, Arizona might not be able to duplicate the success it had a year ago on defense now that former DC Todd Bowles is the head coach in New York (Jets).
