According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the 49ers are currently favored at 15/4 to win the NFC title game in 2014. The Seahawks have the next best odds at 9/2 while the Packers are 13/2 and the Falcons are 15/2. The Saints are 10/1, the Giants are 12/1 and the Bears and Cowboys are 16/1, respectively.

Continuing with the odds, the Eagles and Redskins are both 18/1, respectively, while the Vikings are 20/1 and the Lions are 28/1. The Bucs are also 28/1 while the Rams are 30/1 and the Panthers are 33/1. The Cardinals have the longest odds at 66/1.

The 49ers remain favored despite losing one of the premier offensive weapons in Michael Crabtree, who tore his Achilles earlier this week. One reason for that is quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who enters his second full season as a starter, as well as one of the top defenses in the league.

It is somewhat surprising that the team the 49ers beat in the NFC title game last year, the Falcons, are fourth in terms of odds to win next year's conference championship. They added veteran Steven Jackson to an already stacked offense that features Matt Ryan, Julio Jones and Roddy White, and re-signed Tony Gonzalez after he decided to hold off on retiring for one more year. The team also signed free agent Osi Umenyiora, who hopefully will add a consistent pass rush to their somewhat underrated defense.
