2013 NFL Regular Season Win Totals
(The Spread) - How many regular season games will the defending Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens win in 2013? Let's check out their odds.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Ravens have an over/under of only 8.5 for number of wins in the 2013 NFL regular season. That number seems rather low for a defending Super Bowl champ but Baltimore has had a ton of turnover in the offseason, which could cause the team to take a major step back in 2013.
As for the team the Ravens played in last season's Super Bowl, the 49ers have an over/under total of 11.5 for number of wins in the 2013 regular season. Thus, oddsmakers clearly don't believe that Colin Kaepernick and Co. will be taking a step back despite coming up short in last season's title game.
The Falcons and Patriots both fell short in their respective conference championship games last year but oddsmakers still believe both teams can win over 10 games. Atlanta has an over/under of 10.5 for number of wins in the regular season for 2013, and New England has an o/u of 11.5 wins.
The Broncos, whom many felt would represent the AFC in the Super Bowl when the playoffs started last year, has an over/under of 11.5 for number of wins in 2013. Another AFC playoff contender, the Bengals, have an over/under of 8.5 while the Steelers are 9.5 and the Dolphins are 7.5.
In the NFC, the Seahawks and Packers both have an over/under total of 10.5 games, respectively, while the Rams, Buccaneers and Panthers have an o/u of 7.5. The Saints, meanwhile, have an over/under total of 9.5 and the Giants' o/u for number of regular season wins in 2013 is 9.
