2015 AFC East Division Odds
LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) – Despite the distractions of “Deflategate,” Tom Brady and the Patriots remain favored to win the AFC East Division in 2015.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Patriots are 2/3 favorites to win the AFC East while the Bills and Dolphins both have the next best odds at 17/4, respectively. The long shots are the Jets, who are 7/1 to win the division this season.
The Pats have had a stressful offseason dealing with the fallout from “Deflategate” and the Ted Wells Report. As of this writing, Brady has been suspended for the first four games of the 2015 season, although he could have that punishment reduced or overturned on appeal. While New England did lose Darrelle Revis and Vince Wilfork off its Super Bowl team and has some questions in its secondary, Bill Belichick and Co. always seem to overcome their weaknesses to win the East.
As for the Bills and Jets, they have new head coaches that could impact their success rate in 2015. Rex Ryan took over in Buffalo and Todd Bowles has been hired to replace Ryan in New York. The Bills also acquired running back LeSean McCoy from the Eagles and the Jets signed the aforementioned Revis to a free agent contract. Production from the quarterback position will be a focal point for both Buffalo and New York this season.
