Will Brady have suspension reduced?
FOXBORO, NE (The Spread) – Patriots quarterback Tom Brady will appeal his four-game Deflategate suspension but will his punishment be reduced?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the odds that Brady’s four-game suspension will remain at four games are 11/10, while the odds that his punishment will be reduced to three games are 4/1. The odds that his suspension will be reduced to two games are 7/5 while the odds that his punishment will go down to one game are 7/1.
One source that texted ESPN’s Adam Schefter on the subject thinks that Brady’s four-game suspension could be overturned altogether. Another source described the legal team Brady is putting together for his appeal as “unreal,” which could indicate that the quarterback will avoid punishment altogether for his role in “Deflategate.”
The odds that Brady’s suspension will be completely overturned and he’ll serve a zero-game ban are 10/1. Thus, in surveying the odds, the most realistic scenario is that Brady will either serve the entire four-game suspension or have it reduced to two games.
