2014 NFL Draft Prop Odds
NEW YORK, NY (The Spread) – The first round of the 2014 NFL Draft takes place tonight with the first round at 8:00PM ET. Here’s a complete list of prop odds for tonight’s event.
How many quarterback’s will be drafted in the first round tonight? The over/under has been set at 3 according to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv. Johnny Manziel, Blake Bortles and Teddy Bridgewater are the consensus first-round quarterbacks, although Bridgewater could slip in the second round following a Pro Day and it wouldn’t be a total upset if Derek Carr were to go in the first-round.
Who will be drafted first, Manziel or Bortles? The odds favor “Johnny Football” at -230, while Bortles is the underdog to be taken ahead of Manziel at +160. Carr is also the favorite to go ahead of Bridgewater at -130 to -110, meaning that you’d have to put up $130.00 to win $100.00 on a winning wager for Carr, and $110.00 to win $100 on a winning wager on Bridgewater.
How many wide receivers and tight end’s will be drafted in the first round tonight? The over/under has been set at 6.5, with the over carrying odds of -290 and the under carrying odds of +190. Sammy Watkins, Mike Evans, Odell Beckham Jr. and Eric Ebron are locks, while Brandin Cooks and Marquise Lee are likely to be taken as well.
Will Watkins be taken ahead of Buffalo linebacker Khalil Mack tonight? The odds favor Mack, who is -175 over Watkins, who is +135. Mack is slated to go either No. 1, No. 3 or No. 4, while Watkins could go No. 2, No. 3, No. 4 or No. 5, so it’ll be close between these two. In fact, Watkins’ draft position has been set at over/under 4.5 by oddsmakers, while Mack’s over/under is also 4.5 for draft position.
Meanwhile, will Jadeveon Clowney be drafted first overall? The odds are in his favor at -600 for and +400 against, so whether it’s the Texans or a team like the Falcons that trade up, Clowney still should go No. 1. Mack is the one sleeper to go No. 1 overall, while one of the quarterbacks could also be taken with that pick.
Finally, how many offensive and defensive players be drafted in the first round? The over/under has been set at 16.5 for offensive players and 15.5 for defensive players.
