2013 NFL Draft Start Time
(The Spread) - We're now just days away from the 2013 NFL Draft, which begins on Thursday with the first round.
This year's NFL draft kicks off on Thursday, April 25th at 8:00PM ET with the first round. On Friday the second round will begin at 6:30PM ET and the third round will also be conducted that night. On Saturday the final three rounds (Rounds 4 through 7) will start at 12:00PM ET.
The Chiefs own the No. 1 overall pick this year and are expected to select Texas A&M left tackle Luke Joeckel, although Central Michigan's Eric Fisher could be a sleeper at that spot. The Jacksonville Jaguars, Oakland Raiders, Philadelphia Eagles and Detroit Lions round out the top 5, while the Cleveland Browns, Arizona Cardinals, Buffalo Bills, New York Jets and Tennessee Titans conclude the top-10, in that order.
There has already been one trade involving a top-15 team, as the Buccaneers acquired cornerback Darrelle Revis from the Jets in exchange for the 13th overall selection in the first round. New York now owns the No. 9 and No. 13 selections on Thursday and could target a pass rusher, receiver, running back, tight end or even a quarterback. Revis, meanwhile, signed a new six-year contract with the Bucs upon the completion of the trade.
Last year two quarterbacks went with the first two picks, as the Colts selected Andrew Luck and the Redskins nabbed Robert Griffin III after a pre-draft trade with the Rams. But it's highly unlikely that two quarterbacks are taken in the top 5 this year, as West Virginia's Geno Smith could go anywhere in the first round.
Both ESPN and the NFL Network will air draft coverage this weekend.
