Not surprising, Alabama has plenty of guys being highly touted entering the NFL Draft. Scout’s Inc. lists Bama with five of the top 32 players in this year’s draft, including three of the top nine. Jonathan Allen (DT) tops the list at No. 3 while O.J. Howard (TE) ranks eighth, Reuben Foster (ILB) ranks ninth, Marlon Humphrey (CB) ranks 27th and Cam Robinson (OT) is 29th. Pro Football Focus’ Chris Collinsworth released his first-round mock draft and it included six Alabama players, as he also had Tim Williams (Edge) included.
Last year, Ohio State managed to have five players taken in the first round, while Alabama had just one player selected. The Tide also only had one player selected in the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft. They did have three selected in 2013, all in the top 11. Their recent peak was four, which occurred in 2012. They also had four players taken in the 2011 draft.
