Eagles not planning to sign Tebow
PHILADELPHIA, PA (The Spread) – Despite bringing him in for a workout on Monday, the Eagles are not planning on signing quarterback Tim Tebow.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter was the first to report that Tebow was in Philadelphia on Monday working out for Chip Kelly and the Eagles. It was Tebow’s first known workout for an NFL team in over a year, as he’s been employed by ESPN as a college football analyst since December of 2013.
But according to Schefter, the Eagles aren’t planning to sign Tebow and the notion is that Philadelphia was just working out the quarterback as a courtesy to either him or his agent. Sam Bradford, Mark Sanchez and Matt Barkley remain atop the Eagles’ depth chart for now, but if Kelly has taught us anything over the past two weeks it’s not to assume that he’s done adjusting his roster.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Eagles are 18/1 to win the 2016 Super Bowl. Teams with similar odds are the Dallas Cowboys at 16/1 and the Pittsburgh Steelers at 20/1.
