Derek Carr doing well in recovery
Quarterback Derek Carr is reportedly doing well in his recovery from a broken right fibula, this according to his head coach.
Raiders coach Jack Del Rio spoke with ESPN’s Matt Barrie and said that Carr is “doing well.” He continued: “Yeah, Derek is healing, and we’re happy about that. He’s obviously a very vital piece of what we do and … we’re happy about the way things are coming along.”

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Raiders are currently 20/1 to win the Super Bowl next season and are 10/1 to win the AFC Championship. The Patriots remain favored to win the Super Bowl at 11/1, while the Cowboys are 11/1, and the Falcons, Packers and Seahawks are all 12/1.
Rio was also asked about Carr’s development as the Raiders started out 12-3 before the quarterback was injured.
“Well, it’s been tremendous for us,” Del Rio said. “I think finding that trigger man is so huge for you and one of the things that we’ve done is we’ve played to the talent that he does have. So some of the things that he did in college, we’ve integrated into the offense and how we approach it.”
