Panthers vs. Steelers in Super Bowl LI?
The NFL season isn’t too far back in the rearview, but many people have their thoughts on who will emerge as the champions during the 2016 season and play in Super Bowl LI.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, of all the potential matchups for Super Bowl LI, the favorite is the Carolina Panthers vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers. That matchup has 20/1 odds. Three other matchups (Panthers vs. Patriots), (Seahawks vs. Patriots) and (Seahawks vs. Steelers) all come in with 25/1 odds.
The Panthers were the dominant team in the NFC this season, going 15-1 while marching past the Seahawks and Cardinals in the NFC playoffs before falling to the Broncos in Super Bowl 50. The Panthers should have plenty of motivation next season following the loss, but repeating as NFC Champions isn’t an easy task.
The Pittsburgh Steelers didn’t have lady luck on their side much this season. Pittsburgh dealt with big injuries to start players, mainly Ben Roethlisberger and Le’Veon Bell. Despite that, Pittsburgh still made the playoffs and reached the conference semifinals, but had to play without Antonio Brown and lost to the Broncos. Many believe a healthy Pittsburgh team would be tough to beat and it is hard to argue that.
