2013 NFC Championship Odds

(The Spread) – The opening odds have been released for the 2013 NFC Championship and the defending champs aren’t the team that’s favored to repeat.

The New York Giants may have won Super Bowl XLVI but they’re not favored to repeat as NFC champions in 2013. The team that the Giants beat in the playoffs this past year is though.

The Green Bay Packers are +250 to win the NFC Championship Game in 2013. The team with the next best odds is the New Orleans Saints, who are +300 to win the NFC title next year. The Giants, meanwhile, are +600 to win the 2013 NFC Championship Game while the Philadelphia Eagles are +750.

There are several teams with +1000 odds to win, including the Atlanta Falcons, Dallas Cowboys, Detroit Lions and San Francisco 49ers, respectively. The Chicago Bears are +1500 while the Arizona Cardinals are +2000 and the Carolina Panthers are +2500. The Seattle Seahawks are +3000 while the St. Louis Rams, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Washington Redskins are +5000, respectively.

No team has repeated as NFC champions since the Packers accomplished the feat in 1997 and 1998. The Giants have won the NFC championship three times since 2001, while the Packers have won the NFC title three times since 1997.
