Starting in the key category of Super Bowl MVP, it shouldn’t be much of a surprise that Aaron Rodgers has the shortest odds of any Packer to win the award. In fact, Rodgers is the overall favorite to win with odds of 3/2 according to oddsmakers from online sportsbook Sportsbook.com. Other Packers with short odds are Greg Jennings (12/1), Clay Matthews (15/1), and James Starks (15/1).
In terms of First Player To Score A Touchdown Props, Jennings is the favorite for that honor with 5/1 odds. Jordy Nelson and Donald Driver are next with 10/1 odds while Rodgers, James Starks, and John Kuhn each have 12/1 odds.
There are plenty of bets to consider for just Rodgers as well, as the Green Bay quarterback has been given over under odds of 281.5 for passing yards, 23 for completions, and 35 for pass attempts. Oddsmakers also list him with over/under odds of 20.5 rushing yards and 1.5 touchdown passes. Odds are in favor that Rodgers will throw an interception in the game as he has betting odds of -150 to throw a pick in the game and +120 to go without an interception.
For feature back James Starks, he has been given over/under odds of 49.5 rushing yards for Sunday’s game. Starks will be facing the top rushing defense in the league but still has over/under odds of 16.5 rushing attempts. As to whether he will score a touchdown, odds say Yes is +170 and No is -220.
Amongst the Green Bay receivers, Jennings is expected to have the biggest impact, as he has over/under odds of 82.5 receiving yards while Driver is at 47.5 and Jones comes in at 40.5. Jennings also leads in reception odds as he has over/under odds of 5.5 receptions.
Defensively, Clay Matthews has been given over/under odds of 4.5 tackles in the game while teammate and fellow linebacker A.J. Hawk has odds of 5.5. You can even wager on whether defensive tackle B.J. Raji will be in the game on offense for one play. Yes has betting odds of -200 while No is at +150.
For generic team props, the Packers have been given an over/under point total of 24 for the Super Bowl. It is also believed that Green Bay will be the least penalized team as they have betting odds of +125 to earn the most penalty yards in the game. Oddsmakers have included over/under odds of 7.5 for total number of Packers to have a pass reception in the game.
