Giants Win & Giants Cover
The New England Patriots ended up missing their date with history despite the New York Giants inability to put a bunch of points up against the high powered Patriots. In the end the Giants defense was just too much for the Patriots. Sports books are no doubt devastated after failing to balance the action in Super Bowl XLII and the Giants pulling a huge upset.
It took until late in the fourth quarter but the Giants pulled out the win and easily covered the +12 point spread laid out by oddsmakers at online sports book Bodog.
The total went far under the 54.5 total points set by Bodog oddsmakers which was no doubt another blow to Online and Las Vegas Sports Books.
Despite a drive in the final minutes by the Patriots they just didn’t have enough for the Giants as the clocked ticked down.
Our public betting information recorded just over 158,000 bets on Super Bowl XLII and 61% or just over 96,000 bettors thought the New York Giants would cover the -12 point spread.
The Giants are the team that will go down in history as the team that upset the New England Patriots march towards history and an undefeated season. This will no doubt go down as the biggest upset in Super Bowl History.
Congratulations to the New York Giants as they upset the New England Patriots for the 2007-2008 NFL Championship in Super Bowl XLII on February 3, 2008 in Glendale Arizona at University of Phoenix Stadium.
