NEW ORLEANS, LA (The Spread) – Joe Flacco can cement himself as an elite quarterback with a big performance in Super Bowl XLVII on Sunday. Will he lead the Ravens to victory?

View Updated 2013 Super Bowl Odds

According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Flacco has been given 11/4 odds to win the Super Bowl MVP Award on Sunday. He also has been given over/under odds of 250.5 passing yards and 1.5 passing touchdowns.

Flacco had an okay regular season, throwing for 3,817 yards and 22 touchdowns with 10 interceptions. He had a total of five 300-yard games and six games with at least two touchdown passes. In the playoffs, Flacco has really shined. He has thrown for 853 yards with eight touchdowns and no interceptions in three playoff games. His best showing was 331 yards and three touchdowns against the Broncos, which actually had a better-ranked pass defense than the 49ers.

The 49ers ranked fourth in the NFL in passing defense this season, while the Broncos were third. San Francisco gave up an average of just 200.2 passing yards per game, but San Francisco has struggled against the pass in the playoffs, especially in the NFC Championship. The 49ers allowed the Falcons to throw for nearly 400 yards on them, and Matt Ryan had three touchdown passes. Aaron Rodgers threw for 257 yards and two touchdowns for the Packers in the NFC Divisional Playoff Game with the 49ers three weeks ago.
