According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Patriots are 2.5-point favorites to beat the Rams. But at the William Hill in Las Vegas, New England is now -3 with even juice. William Hill is the only sportsbook as of this writing that is offering the Rams at +3.
As for the total, both online sportsbooks and Las Vegas books have kept the over/under at 56.5. The number opened at 57.5 but was bet down to 56.5 within a few days and has stayed at that figure for over a week.
The betting tickets are slowly starting to trickle in on the Rams but the action is still heavy on the Pats. As of Thursday night, 77% of the betting tickets and 77% of the money wagered at online sportsbooks are on New England to cover the spread. After bettors initially took the under, the over is also starting to get some play at online books. In fact, 54% of the betting tickets are on the over as of this writing, but 59% of the money is on the under.
The Patriots are 5-1 against the spread in the last six meetings between these two teams but the underdog has covered in five of the previous seven New England-Rams matchups. The under is also 8-3 in the Pats’ last 11 games overall but the over is 9-3 in the Rams’ last 12 games after allowing less than 90 yards rushing in their previous game.
