Michael Crabtree Prop Odds
NEW ORLEANS, LA (The Spread) – Michael Crabtree is the top receiving target of the 49ers. Will he breakthrough with a big performance against the Ravens in Super Bowl XLVII?
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Crabtree has been given 14/1 odds to win the Super Bowl MVP award on Sunday. He also has been given over/under odds of 77.5 receiving yards and 6 receptions.
Crabtree had a pretty strong season for San Francisco, catching 85 passes for 1,105 yards and nine touchdowns. That works out to an average of 5.3 receptions and 69.06 yards per game. Crabtree has been decent in the playoffs as well. He has 15 receptions for 176 yards and two touchdowns. Crabtree has reeled in at least 6 receptions in 10 of the team’s 18 games. He also has at least 78 receiving yards in six of the 18 games.
The Ravens had an average passing defense this season. Baltimore allowed an average of 228.1 passing yards per game, which ranked 17th in the NFL. One other factor is that the 49ers aren’t much of a passing offense, San Francisco averaged just 221.9 passing yards per game this season. However, Crabtree has seen a big push in production with Colin Kaepernick at quarterback. He has had five games of at least 90 receiving yards in his last seven games. He also has been targeted at least nine times in six of his last seven games.
