Bet Current Super Bowl XLV Odds
Brett Favre threw for 246 passing yards in Super Bowl XXXI when the Packers beat the Patriots in 1997. And according to oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com, Aaron Rodgers is a 29.5-point favorite to throw for more odds this Sunday in Super Bowl XLV. (So in other words, if you take Rodgers, he must throw for at least 276 yards for you to win your wager.)
In Super Bowl XXXI, Favre threw two touchdown passes and thus, is –155 on the money line to throw for more touchdown pass than Rodgers (+125) in Super Bowl XLV. If Rodgers throws two touchdown passes, obviously the bet would result in a push.
Aaron Rodgers is EVEN on the money line at –11.5% to have a higher completion percentage than Favre, who is –130 on the money line at +11.5% after completing 51.8 percent of his passes in his two Super Bowl appearances. Thus, Rodgers has to complete no fewer than 63.4% of his passes in order to win the bet.
There are also some historical player props for Steelers’ QB Ben Roethlisberger, who has played in two previous Super Bowls. Big Ben –115.5 is –120 on the money line to throw for more passing yards than Big Ben +115.5 in Super Bowl XL (123 yards). So Roethlisberger would have to throw for 229 passing yards in order for you to collect your bet at –120.
Roethlisberger Super Bowl XLV version is also +15.5 to throw for more passing yards than Roethlisberger Super Bowl XLIII version, who threw for 256 passing yards.
