Super Bowl Gatorade Shower Odds
GLENDALE, AZ (The Spread) – One of the signatures of any Super Bowl is the post-game Gatorade Shower. If you’re feeling lucky, you can cash in on this tradition.
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, there are six options to wager on for what color the Gatorade (or liquid) that is dumped on the winning head coach will be when the Seahawks take on the Patriots in Super Bowl XLIX. Orange is favored with 3/2 odds while other odds are Yellow (5/2), Clear or Water (3/1), Blue (15/2), Red (15/2) and Green (10/1). Super Bowl XLIX will be played on Sunday, Feb. 1 from University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona at 6:30PM ET.
There isn’t a lot of history to do research on for this, but Bleach Report has some recent history to go on. According to their report, orange has been used in three of the last five Super Bowls, including last year’s win for Pete Carroll. Yellow, which has the second shortest odds, was last used in Super Bowl XLIII when the Steelers won.
Water was last used when the Giants won Super Bowl XLII. The Blue and Red options seem tough, as they haven’t been used in the last 14 Super Bowls. Patriots coach Bill Belichick has actually been able to avoid the dunks in two of his Super Bowl wins, but was hit with water after Super Bowl XXIX.
