Percy Harvin Super Bowl Props
EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ (The Spread) – Percy Harvin hasn’t’ been able to get on the field much this season due to injuries. Will Super Bowl XLVIII finally be the game that he shines?
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Harvin has been given over/under odds of 45.5 receiving yards and 4 receptions for Sunday’s game with the Broncos.
Harvin was barely on the field this season after signing with Seattle in the offseason. He had a hip injury that sidelined him until late in the season, then got injured in his regular season debut. He was able to return for the Divisional Playoffs, but suffered a concussion that caused him to miss the NFC Championship.
Harvin had just one reception for 17 yards during the regular season and was targeted the one time. When it came to his lone playoff appearance, Harvin caught three passes for 21 yards and was targeted four times. It was clear in the game against the Saints that the Seahawks wanted to get the ball in Harvin’s hands, but it is unclear just how much impact he can have if he hasn’t been able to gel with Russell Wilson.
Last season with the Vikings, Harvin caught 62 passes for 677 yards in just nine games. That worked out to an average of 6.8 receptions and 75.2 yards per game. He was targeted an average of 9.4 times per game with the Vikings. The Broncos come into this game allowing 254.4 passing yards per game during the season, which ranked 27th in the NFL.
