According to oddsmakers from BetDSI, this game is currently even, with neither team giving any points to the other. The over/under total has been set at 48.5 points. The opening spread actually had Seattle as a 3-point favorite and the spread has quickly dipped to even, perhaps because of New England’s smooth win. The opening total was set at 49 points. The Seahawks will be looking to claim their second consecutive Super Bowl title. The Patriots were actually the last team to achieve this feat, doing so in 2004 and 2005. Marshawn Lynch rushed for 157 yards and a touchdown to lead the Seahawks in the win.
The Patriots are making their first trip to the Super Bowl in the last three seasons. New England will be playing in its sixth Super Bowl since 2002, with its last championship win coming in 2005. New England advanced to this year’s game with a dominant 45-7 win over the Indianapolis Colts at home on Sunday night. The Pats had just under 400 yards of offense, but got a big game from LeGarrette Blount, who rushed for 148 yards and three scores. Tom Brady added 226 passing yards with three touchdowns.
