SEATTLE, WA (The Spread) – The focus of today’s NFC Championship between the Seattle Seahawks and the San Francisco 49ers will be about the quarterbacks, but will it be for their legs or arms.

Both Colin Kaepernick and Russell Wilson can run the ball, but the winner will have to make a few key throws along the way. According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Kaepernick has been given over/under odds of 190.5 passing yards for this game. Kaepernick has thrown for 3,197 yards this season, an average of 185.4 yards per game. In the playoffs this year, Kaepernick has thrown for 423 yards and 2 touchdowns on 31 of 58 passing, going over 191 yards in each game. Kaepernick has not had much success against Seattle this year, throwing for 175 yards on 15 of 29 passing in the 19-17 win at home. He threw for 127 yards on 13 of 28 passing in the loss in Seattle. The Seahawks have the top passing defense in the NFL, allowing just 172 yards per game through the air this season. Seattle did allow 309 passing yards last week against the Saints, but that came against Drew Brees.

When it comes to Wilson, he has been given over/under odds of 200.5 passing yards. Wilson has thrown for 3,357 yards and 26 touchdowns this season, an average of 192.8 yards per game. Wilson has been struggling as of late, as he threw for just 103 yards last week and was held under 173 yards in the last two games of the regular season. Like Kaepernick, Wilson has struggled in the two meetings with the 49ers. He had just 142 yards on 8 of 19 passing in the win at home and threw for 199 yards on 15 of 25 passing in the loss in San Francisco. He has thrown for over 201 yards in 10 games this season. San Francisco has the seventh-ranked passing defense in the NFL, allowing just 221 yards per game through the air this season. Cam Newton has 267 yards against San Francisco last week, while Aaron Rodgers threw for only 177 yards two weeks ago.
