ATLANTA, GA (The Spread) – Thomas DeCoud is having a breakout season this year for the Falcons. Will he continue that success in Sunday’s NFC Championship Game?

View Updated 2013 Super Bowl Odds

According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, DeCoud has been given over/under odds of 5.5 tackles for Sunday’s game against the 49ers. He also has been given odds of +400 to intercept a pass and odds of -600 to not get an INT.

DeCoud has recorded a total of 76 tackles and six interceptions this season for the Falcons. The fifth-year safety out of California has been a big presence on the field this season and will play a key role on Sunday. DeCoud has had at least 6 tackles in six of the team’s 17 games and recorded at least one interception in five of the 17 games. DeCoud was rather quiet last week, totaling just three tackles and no interceptions in the win over the Seahawks.

DeCoud may have a larger role on Sunday due to the running presence of San Francisco quarterback Colin Kaepernick. If the speedy quarterback is able to get into open field, DeCoud may be the last thing standing between him and a touchdown, so tackle opportunities could be greater for him on Sunday. Kaepernick has only thrown four total interceptions this season in 249 passing attempts. However, three of his four interceptions came on the road.
