Championship Games Injury Report
(The Spread) – What is the latest injury news regarding this weekend’s NFL Championship Games? Here is a look at the injury report for the two contests.
New England Patriots at Denver Broncos – Sunday, 3PM ET (CBS)
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, the Broncos are the favorites at home, as they have odds of -5.5 points against the Patriots. The over/under total for the game has been set at 55.5 points. When looking at the injuries for this game, one big injury of note is to Tom Brady, who apparently has been battling the flu. He missed Wednesday’s practice because of the flu, but is expected to play on Sunday. Rookie receivers Aaron Dobson and Kenbrell Thompkins are both questionable to play. Dobson is questionable because of a lingering foot injury. He missed last week’s game. Thompkins suffered a head injury against the Colts and his status is unknown. For Denver, it will be without cornerback Chris Harris, who suffered a torn ACL in last week’s win over San Diego. Safety Rahim Moore is listed as questionable for the game. He is just coming off injured reserve over a leg injury the caused him to miss several weeks.
San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks – Sunday, 6:30PM ET (FOX)
According to oddsmakers, Seattle is the favorite in this game, as the Seahawks have odds of -3.5 points against the 49ers. The over/under total for the game has been set at 38.5 points. When it comes to injuries for this game, the 49ers should get cornerback Carlos Rogers back for this game. He has missed the last two playoff wins with a hamstring injury. Fullback Will Tukuafu is questionable to play on Sunday because of a knee injury that he suffered last week against Carolina. He didn’t return following the injury. For Seattle, the question mark is again on receiver Percy Harvin. After returning last week, Harvin took a pair of nasty hits and suffered a concussion that forced him to leave the game. He is listed as questionable for Sunday’s contest. Defensive tackle Jordan Hill is also questionable for the game as he is dealing with a groin injury that forced him to miss last week’s win over the Saints.
