Ravens vs. Broncos Prop Odds

DENVER, CO (The Spread) – The Baltimore Ravens open this weekend’s playoff action against the Denver Broncos. Here is a look at the prop odds available for this game.

View Updated 2013 Super Bowl Odds

The Broncos come into this game as the favorite at home, as they have odds of -9.5 points against the Ravens. The over/under total for the game has been set at 46.5 points. There are a number of key players on both sides of the ball in this game. The big focus on this game will be quarterback play, since both teams have solid defenses. According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning has over/under odds of 2.5 touchdown passes, while Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco has over/under odds of 250.5 yards passing.

Manning is one of the top candidates for the NFL MVP award, as he has thrown for 4,659 yards and 37 touchdowns to lead the Broncos to the top seed in the AFC. Manning had at least three touchdown passes in nine of the Broncos’ 16 games this season. However, in a Dec. 16 meeting at Baltimore, Manning had just one touchdown passes and 204 yards, both were season-low totals for Manning. Despite dealing with a lot of injuries during the season, the Ravens only allowed 15 passing touchdowns this season, which ranked second-fewest in the NFL.

Flacco has thrown for 3,817 yards and 22 touchdowns during the regular season. If you exclude his season finale, where he played limited time, Flacco averaged 252.2 yards per game passing. He has thrown for over 252 yards in the last three games he fully played in, including last week’s playoff game in which he threw for 282 yards. In the meeting with Denver on Dec. 16, Flacco threw for 254 yards and two touchdowns, but had 40 passes attempts with only 20 completions. Flacco may not have as many attempts if the Ravens aren’t falling behind like they did in the previous meeting. The Broncos allowed the third-fewest passing yards this season on defense, giving up an average of 199.6 yards per game.
