Saints vs. Seahawks Prop Odds

SEATTLE, WA (The Spread) – Who will win out on Saturday, the Seattle Seahawks defense, or the New Orleans Saints offense? Here is a look at the prop odds available for this contest.

View Current NFL Odds

The spotlight for this game will be on Drew Brees as he attempts to solve the puzzle of Richard Sherman and the Seattle defense. According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Brees has been given over/under odds of 265.5 passing yards for Saturday’s game. Brees threw for an impressive 5,162 yards and 39 touchdowns this season and throwing for 300 yards isn’t usually much of a problem. However, he struggled a great deal in Seattle on Dec. 2, going just 23 of 38 passing for 147 yards and one touchdown. It was his lowest passing total of the season by nearly 100 yards. If New Orleans is going to have a shot, Brees must have a lot more success. He has thrown for at least 266 yards in 14 games during the regular season. He was held to 250 yards on 20 of 30 passing in last week’s win over the Eagles. Seattle had the top passing defense this season in the NFL, allowing just 172 yards per game through the air.

For Seattle, the defense has been led by vocal cornerback Richard Sherman, who has been given a money line of +225 to intercept a pass on Saturday. Sherman had eight interceptions during the season, which led the NFL. He had at least one in six games this year, including two against the Giants and Cardinals. Sherman will have his chances to intercept a pass on Saturday, as Brees averages 40.6 pass attempts per game. Brees has thrown just 12 interceptions during the regular season and didn’t have an INT against the Seahawks on Dec. 2. He did throw two interceptions last week in Philadelphia.
