NFL Divisional Round Opening Odds
(The Spread) – The opening odds are out for the Divisional Round of the 2012 NFL Playoffs and apparently oddsmakers aren’t feeling another Tim Tebow upset. The action gets started on Saturday where the San Francisco 49ers will host the New Orleans Saints at 4:30PM ET. The Saints have been a much different team on the road this year than on the fast track of the Superdome, but oddsmakers have installed New Orleans as a 3.5-point road favorite this weekend. The over/under total has opened at 47.5, which is a stark difference from the opening line for last Saturday’s game between the Saints and Lions (which was 58 and closed at 59). In the primetime game on Saturday night, Tebow and the Denver Broncos will look to pull off an even bigger upset then they did on Wildcard Weekend when they take on the New England Patriots at 8:00PM ET. Oddsmakers have installed the Broncos as massive 13.5-point underdogs despite the fact that they pulled off the biggest upset in the opening round. The over/under total has opened at 51 points for Saturday’s contest. View Latest 2012 NFL Playoff Odds On Sunday, the Baltimore Ravens will host the Houston Texans at 1:00PM ET and have opened as 9-point favorites. Thanks to the running ability of Arian Foster and a great effort by Wade Phillips’ defense, the Texans cruised to a 31-10 victory over the Bengals on Saturday. Their game with the Ravens will be a rematch of a Week 6 matchup from earlier this season in which Baltimore beat Houston 29-14 as a 7-point favorite. In the final game of the Divisional Round, the defending Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers will host the New York Giants at 4:30PM ET. The Giants are coming off an impressive second-half performance against the punchless Atlanta Falcons, but Aaron Rodgers and the explosive Packer offense figures to score more points than Matt Ryan and Co.
