In their final two games they beat Pittsburgh and Baltimore, two teams that had given Cincinnati loads of trouble in the past. Andy Dalton completed 10-of-15 passes for 78 yards and a touchdown in the Bengals' 23-17 victory over the Ravens in Week 17 before giving way to backup Bruce Gradkowski. A.J. Cincinnati enters the game with a  10-6 overall record and went 6-2 on the road this year. Houston, meanwhile, finished 12-4 overall and 6-2 at home.
