According to current NFL odds and oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com, the Colts are 9.5-point favorites over the Titans on Sunday. The over/under total for this game is currently 47.5 points.
After losing to the Chiefs last Sunday on the road, the Titans dropped to 6-9 overall and are now 7-8 against the spread according to latest NFL trends. They’re 3-4 on the road this year and 3-4 against the spread.
The Colts improved to 9-6 after beating the Raiders last Sunday and are now 8-6-1 against the spread this season. They’re 5-2 at home and covered in four of those seven games at Lucas Oil Stadium.
NFL Week 17 Free Pick:
The Titans produced one of the worst (or greatest depending on which side you were on) backdoor covers of the year against the Colts a couple of weeks ago. But we don’t think there will be a backdoor cover to worry about today because the Colts should roll. Peyton Manning isn’t going to allow his team to miss a chance to go to the playoffs and Indianapolis has too many weapons for Tennessee to contain. The Titans may make a game of it earlier on but they’ll fade in the second half. The Colts’ run defense has been solid the past two weeks, which is huge with Chris Johnson coming to town. If they can bottle him up, they should keep the rest of Tennessee’s offense tamed. The home team is 4-1 against the spread in the last five meetings between these two teams, while the Titans are 2-5 ATS in their last seven trips to Indianapolis. Our pick is the Colts –9.5.
2010 NFL WEEK 17 FREE PICK: INDIANAPOLIS COLTS –9.5
