GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) -Nick Calathes scored 23 points, Alex Tyus added 16 points and 10 rebounds and Florida beat Stetson 78-57 Tuesday despite giving up 20 offensive rebounds.
The Gators (11-2) won their fifth straight and eighth in the last nine games, and extended their winning streak against the Hatters (5-5) to 15.
After a lackluster first half, the Gators turned a 42-35 lead into a rout with a 15-0 run early in the second. Calathes led the way with three baskets, a steal and a perfect bounce pass to Tyus in the open court.
Florida blew the game open with a 17-2 run late in the game.
Garfield Blair had 13 points and 10 rebounds for Stetson, which shot just 29.6 percent from the field and was 9-of-29 from 3-point range.
Walter Hodge finished with 13 points and five assists for Florida, and Dan Werner added 12 points and seven boards.
