CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) -Miami quarterback Robert Marve was not with the Hurricanes when they resumed preparing for the Emerald Bowl.
Marve was excused Thursday to tend to a personal matter and went to his family's Tampa home. It was the team's first practice since Sunday because of final exams.
Marve started 11 of 12 games this season for the Hurricanes (7-5), who will face California (8-4) in San Francisco on Dec. 27.
