CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) -Clemson running back C.J. Spiller sees a lot of himself in Georgia Tech\’s Jonathan Dwyer.
Spiller had long admired Dwyer\’s powerful, breakaway runs and discipline that helped the 12th-ranked Yellow Jackets perfect an option offense that largely disappeared from major college playbooks two decades ago.
This summer, Spiller and Dwyer spent time together at the Atlantic Coast Conference\’s summer gathering. Spiller found a kindred soul – a humble, team-first player locked into trying to bring his program the ACC championship.
Dwyer and Spiller both get that chance Saturday when the Yellow Jackets (10-2) face the 25th-ranked Tigers (8-4) in the league\’s title game Saturday at Tampa, Fla.
