PISCATWAY, N.J. (AP) - Louisville will start Will Stein at quarterback, but injured starter Teddy Bridgewater is expected to play against Rutgers.
Bridgewater is nursing a broken left wrist and sprained right ankle from last week's loss to Connecticut. He warmed up before Thursday night's game. He was wearing a long-sleeved white undershirt and no cast could be seen on his broken arm.
Stein, a senior, has not started a game this season, completing 12-of-23 passes for 72 yards.
The Cardinals and Scarlet Knights are playing for the Big East title and a BCS bid.
