NEW YORK (AP) -Blake Griffin had 18 points, including the go-ahead free throws in overtime, and matched a career high with 21 rebounds to help No. 11 Oklahoma rally past No. 10 Purdue 87-82 on Friday in the championship of the NIT Season Tip-Off.
Willie Warren added a career-best 22 points and Taylor Griffin had 19 for the Sooners (6-0), who are off to their best start since winning their first 10 games in 2003.
E'Twaun Moore scored 22 points to lead Purdue (5-1), which jumped ahead 80-76 in overtime before Warren scored in the lane and Tony Crocker made a free throw. Blake Griffin got the ball inside with 1:05 left and was hacked across the arm, then made both free throws for an 81-80 lead.
Cade Davis made a pair of foul shots with 16.4 seconds left to push the lead to three, but Purdue never got a chance to tie it up. Moore was stripped before he could take a shot, and the Sooners sealed it from the free-throw line.
Nemanja Calasan added 20 points and Lewis Jackson and Robbie Hummel had 10 each for Purdue.
No. 7 Duke 95, Duquesne 72
AP) - Lance Thomas scored a career-high 21 points to help Duke get the win.
Thomas, the first big man off coach Mike Krzyzewski's deep bench, had 12 of his points in the decisive first half and made all eight of his shots in helping the Blue Devils (7-0) shoot a season-high 54.7 percent.
Kyle Singler had 17 points, Nolan Smith added 11, and Duke - which hadn't shot better than 48.5 percent in any game so far - scored 31 points off 19 Duquesne turnovers.
The Blue Devils earned their 64th straight nonconference win at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
Damian Saunders finished with 22 points and 10 rebounds, and Aaron Jackson - the Dukes' lone senior - had 14 points. Duquesne (4-1) was denied its first win over a ranked team since 1997.
No. 9 Gonzaga 81, Maryland 59
LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (AP) - Josh Heytvelt had 22 points and Gonzaga advanced to the championship of the Old Spice Classic.
Austin Daye added 17 points and 10 rebounds for Gonzaga (4-0), which finished a close first half with a 10-2 run to take a 38-29 halftime lead.
Greivis Vasquez had 16 points for Maryland (4-1), which upset No. 5 Michigan State in the first round. The Terrapins shot 38 percent and made one of 13 3-pointers.
The Bulldogs will play No. 12 Tennessee in Sunday's tournament final.
No. 12 Tennessee 90, No. 21 Georgetown 78
p Tennessee beat Georgetown in the semifinals of the Old Spice Classic.
Cameron Tatum hit five of six 3-pointers and finished with 17 points for the Vols (5-0), who made eight of nine free throws in the final 46 seconds.
Chris Wright had 18 points for the Hoyas (3-1), who had five players in double figures.
Georgetown put together a 23-10 run early in the second half to build a 65-57 lead. The Vols, playing a small lineup because of two big men in foul trouble, responded with an 18-4 run. Tatum finished the surge with a 3-pointer and a dunk to put Tennessee ahead 75-69.
No. 19 Wake Forest 82, UTEP 79
ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) - Jeff Teague capped a 29-point performance by making two free throws with 14 seconds remaining, leading Wake Forest to the win in the 76 Classic.
James Johnson added 18 points and Al-Farouq Aminu scored 15 for the Demon Deacons (5-0), who advanced to Sunday's tournament championship at the Anaheim Convention Center.
Stefon Jackson scored 31 points, Randy Culpepper added 15 and Arnett Moultrie had 13 points and a career-high 13 rebounds for the Miners (3-2).
