IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) -Iowa running back Adam Robinson did not start Saturday’s game against No. 8 Ohio State because of what was called a coach’s decision.
An Iowa spokesman says Robinson, who leads the Hawkeyes with 914 yards rushing and 10 touchdowns, is expected to be held out until the second quarter.
Freshman Marcus Coker started in place of Robinson.
Robinson missed Iowa’s win over Indiana on Nov. 6 because of a mild concussion. He returned and rushed for 108 yards in last week’s 21-17 loss at Northwestern.
